Social media clips from your event: what really works
Short clips follow different rules from the main film. Formats, lengths and how to capture the right moments on the day.

Why the main film is not enough
A two- to three-minute highlight film works well on your website and as a recap for attendees. On social media, it competes with content that wins or loses attention in the first three seconds. That is why we produce short clips separately — not as extracts, but as a format in their own right.
Formats that have proved their worth
- Vertical 9:16, 15 to 30 seconds. One idea, a strong visual and clear subtitles.
- Quote clip, 20 to 45 seconds. A statement from a speaker or guest that stands on its own.
- Pre-event teaser. Edited from the previous year's footage, it makes a stronger impression than any announcement graphic.
Subtitles are not optional
Most views happen without sound. Without burned-in subtitles, your message is lost. We can provide bilingual subtitles on request.
What this requires on the day
- Brief statements recorded in a quiet spot away from the hall — two minutes per person is enough.
- Deliberately filmed details: hands, glances, stage lighting, the audience.
- Clean sound from a lapel microphone, even for short clips.
Realistic expectations
Clips are no substitute for a strategy. They work when you post regularly and someone in your organisation responds to comments. We tell you in advance how many clips a day of filming can realistically produce, rather than promising a number that pushes the editing beyond its planned scope.
